Picture the whole West like one big leaking cruise ship. Australians are up on the top deck mocking the Americans down in steerage for drowning in medical debt. Europeans are leaning over the railing laughing at our “feral individualism.” Meanwhile we’re yelling back about their crumbling welfare states and endless queues. Everyone’s got their favorite insult, everyone’s sure their section of the boat is still dry. Except the water’s rising everywhere, same speed. It stopped being funny a while ago.

We Wuz Kweens - Netflix Cleopatra Edition
Hollywood has been race swapping fictional characters, even in historical dramas to inject diversity where no diversity existed historically since at least the second term of the Obama Administration.
But now Netflix, already memed heavily for its tendency to race swap characters in its films and shows, seemed to have absorbed much of the lore of the Nation of Islam and other black supremacist groups and have produced a new "Historical Documentary" - Cleopatra - which could only be called "We Wuz Kweens - The Story of the Black Cleopatra."
Pretty interesting as we have full knowledge of her genealogy. But as Netflix has shown time and time again, never let facts get in the way of the narrative you are pushing.
