Every so often, the internet produces an insult so unexpected that it deserves a closer look. China's “Baizuo” was one example: a word that condensed a particular criticism of Western liberalism into a single, memorable label. Now, an equally curious expression is attracting attention in discussions of Japanese dating culture: “Pocahontas.” What is the word supposed to mean, why is it being used in this context, and what does it reveal about the way people judge one another? My latest video investigates the story behind this unusual label and the cultural assumptions that may lie beneath it.

Bringing Back the Dead
New Video: Bringing Back the Dead
Bring back the dead albeit as in the form of a Digital resurrection via photos, paintings and even statues is now a consumer product.
The Reanimating of the dead is in fact extremely interesting in that you we can already see people that lived more than a century ago,
and you're able to bring back the dead - to life with artificial intelligence.
The real problem however is that humans have a very hard time saying no when opening Pandora's box. Regardless of potentially catastrophic consequences.
As always, thanks very much for the support and it really means more than you can imagine. Always appreciative.
See you this weekend at our group chat.

Japan's New Internet Insult: "Pocahontas"
Chris Hansen Was Just the Beginning
Outrage is one of the internet's most reliable commodities. Give an audience a villain, a confrontation, and a reason to feel morally superior, and the engagement can come flooding in. Online predator hunting sits at a particularly uncomfortable intersection of public safety, entertainment, and the economics of attention.
Many viewers arrive believing they are watching justice unfold, but the incentives behind the camera deserve scrutiny too. Does the pursuit of online fame change the way these confrontations are conducted? And what happens when the most profitable outcome is the most dramatic one? Our latest video explores the business behind the outrage and the questions viewers should be asking.

Why the DSA Will Win
The debate between capitalism and socialism often encourages people to choose a side before examining the underlying problems. Yet acknowledging weaknesses in capitalism does not require accepting every socialist proposal, just as recognizing the historical failures of socialism does not mean ignoring economic insecurity under market-based systems. A serious discussion needs to consider incentives, institutional limits, historical evidence, and the real experiences of ordinary people. My latest video explores precisely this uncomfortable middle ground by asking whether some features of the current economic model may be contributing to the appeal of the alternatives its supporters oppose. If you are interested in political economy beyond familiar talking points, the full video offers an argument worth considering.
