America, despite what the American Derangement Syndromers would have you believe is not a failed state, but a fluid one, and one currently undergoing a massive reorientation yes, but it will come out the other side radically transformed, but most likely more similar to a previous version of itself as the sense of general prosperity for all, evaporates.
Think Elysium mixed with the Minority Report and the Running man at least in the cities.
